Day 3

Visiting a small refugee camp - Abu Abeide - with about 250 people. Most of them are from Hama. The access is over a small river.

 Shoes are luxery here.

Try to count the flies on the faces and shirts of the kids.

About 40 kids live in the camp from whom only 23 attend "school".
Haldun Ahmad, 30 years old and father of 2 kids, is their teacher and probably one of the only man who finished school. What you see in his hand is his only instrument to teach the kids, a board with the alphabet on it. He teaches them 5 hours a day, unfortunately with little success.

That is their "school", a tent with nothing in it except sand
