Conclusion

Few days have passed since I've left Jordan and Lebanon and now I'd like to thank everybody who was involved in that aid effort very much.
There are the donators who sent mainly money and medicine but also other items like chocolate and pens.
Furthermore there are all mission members, especially the SCM team, in Jordan who have my respect for their great work (day and night) and also the few people in Beirut who accompanied me to the places in Lebanon, brought me in contact with the key persons and put me in the right picture about the political and humanitarian situation on site.
And last but not least special thanks to my family and friends who helped and prepared me for the trip at the very beginning.
At the end I am extremely thankful as I gained a lot through that particular journey be it experience in terms of crises and dealing with them from an NGO perspective or appreciation of my lucky and worryless life distant from war, loss and poverty but also because I found out that there are still many people that do not just look away but act bravely and participate with great heart in relief operations instead.
I can also say I've found many new friends from different countries who did a great job out there.

As I see it as my responsibility to report and give full transparency regarding the collected funds I have prepared a little chart showing the expenses for the Syrian displaced. With almost 20.000 US-$ gathered I was able to split the amount and use it for 3 different (IT equipment+lessons and ordinary education seen as one) purposes. Doing that I focused mainly in 2: medical and educational help. This because access to Jordanian hospitals and schools are limited for the Syrians and furthermore education is the key to every nation's development and success. The Syrian kids and teenagers are Syria's new hope and will mainly be responsible for their country's future.
The biggest part of the funds was spend for the rent of a 3-storey building that will be used for a little clinic where medical services as well as a dental care centre will be established. Just recently SCM got the permission to operate it in Irbid. The rent for the first 12 months is paid.
The food sector - though the smallest - still covered 1.100 warm meals + a water bottle per day for the Syrians on Lebanese grounds.

I hope I allocated in a fair and rational manner and that all donors approve with below proportions.

Thank you !

Salam (4 Syria!)
