Day 2
Went to a spinal cord injury centre where
about 30 men are specially treated. Most of them where shot or by snipers or in normal gun fire, some
were hit by cluster bombs. Paralyzed because of their injuries they are
bound to wheel chairs. Talked to them at physical therapy, while in bed
or wheel chair to hear their sad stories.
Only 5 of them are older than 30
years. Unfortunately hardly anyone of the young men will walk anymore. Still they are not desperate and even brought me to laugh while having a conversation in Syrian dialect.
